Digital Fresco presented by Sarah Hearn
Nov 15-17, 2013
Dahlquist Studio
Kansas City, Missouri
Join photographers Sarah Hearn and Chris Dahlquist at the Dahlquist Studio in Columbus Park to learn how to combine the ancient art of fresco with your digital photographs. Beginning with an introduction to the artwork of both artists, each will provide personal insight on how historic process and modern technology are combined to create their work.
Participants will explore how the digital fresco process can be incorporated into their own studio practice. This workshop will cover: a brief history of the fresco, digital image preparation for best results, and finishing techniques. Each participant will complete at least two of their own frescos and soak up some of the nerdy energy that happens when these two scientist/artists come together!
This workshop is geared for people that are looking to add skills to an already established art practice, and that already have a good working knowledge of photoshop and digital imaging.
