So you want a piece of art? Excellent! You have options.

Purchase Art!

If you want to cut to the chase and see the work that is available right now, you can use the button above (cleverly titled “purchase art”) and go directly to my online store. You can pick the one you love and the trusty shipping department will take it from there. We’ll have it shipped to you faster than you can say “I deserve it!”

Or let’s talk:

Do you love what you are seeing but not sure which is right for your home? Contact me to let me know which images you love, what size you are looking for, or your budget and we can chat. I am happy to help you find the piece that you will love to live with everyday! We can discuss what, where, when, favorite books, bands, desserts, etc., and then I can send you some options. You say, “I love them all, but I want that one!” and we’ll take it from there.  Or, if you are in Kansas City drop me a line and make an appointment to come by the studio (near the River Market), visit a gallery that represents my work, or visit me at an upcoming show.

Framing:

Globally, I frame everything using only archival materials, museum glass, and the highest quality wooden frames. The frame has been selected to show the artwork to its best advantage, like that little black dress with just the right cut. Here are the particulars for each series of artwork:

Mile Markers

Mile Marker 595, 22″x34″

In this series, I only print a photograph once per size. This means that when you purchase a piece, you’re the only one who will ever have it or one like it. Unfortunately it also means (because you have such excellent taste and I would rather be making artwork than updating my website) the piece you love on the website may already be living in someone else’s home – if it is already sold it is marked with a red dot.

Available Mile Markers sizes, edition of one:

  • 11″ x 14″ – matted only
  • 16″ x 22″ – framed
  • 23″ x 35″ – framed
  • 35″ x 51″ – framed
  • 45″ x 29″ – framed (set of 3)

(sizes represent outside frame dimensions)

The 11″ x 14″ size has a traditional overmat, while all the rest are framed in a black shadowbox, with the steel floating off its back mat to highlight the material.

Ghost Notes

“Respect”

In this series, I have decided to make the work more accessible by printing in small editions. That means that if you see it on the website, rest assured that I have it, and it can be yours!

Available Ghost Notes sizes:

  • 10″ x 10″ – matted or framed to 11″ x 11″, editions of 25
  • 21″ x 21″ – framed, editions of 15
  • 33″ x 33″ – framed, editions of 1

(sizes represent outside frame dimensions)

The 11″ x 11″ and 21″ x 21″ pieces in this body are two layers of the same print, one printed on translucent washi paper suspended over the same print on cotton rag paper. In all framed pieces I have also waxed the washi paper to enhance its transparency. The 33″ x 33″ pieces are more of an exploratory collaged nature, resulting in each becoming a unique piece, hence the editions of 1.

Reliquaries

This series is also editioned, with a twist. Because of the process I’m using, polymer photogravure, and the aesthetic choices I make during that process, each print is hand created and one is not an identical copy of another. Please contact me to check current availability.

Available Reliquaries sizes:

  • 16″ x 14″ – framed, editions of 10

Commissioned Work:

Have a specific size you need? Need multiple pieces to make a bold statement? Want to buy one for everyone on your holiday list? I would be happy to talk with you. Please let me know the images that speak to you and what you have in mind and I will put together a proposal.

Payment:

If you don’t make your purchase directly through the store I will invoice you for your order using Square’s secure payment system, you can then use a credit card or mail us a check, whatever is easiest for you. I’ll ship you the piece, and then you will have a few days to get ready for the party to show off your new artwork to all of your friends!

Fine Print:

Now, if for whatever odd reason you’re not enamored with the artwork you ordered, let me know. You’re cool, I’m cool, and we’re both reasonable people. If you want to ship it back to me, and it arrives in fine shape, I’ll be happy to help you find another one for an exchange. Sorry no cash refunds, but we should all live with art that we love unconditionally, yes?
