I’ve come to realize that I see my artistic work as object making, with the photograph being a part (albeit a major one) of the whole. For the exhibition at the Curtis Center for the Arts entitled This Is Not a Photo, I’m joined by Daisy Patton and Maeve Eichelberger, two artists who take a similar approach in their artmaking. I’m looking forward to seeing the conversation that develops between our different bodies of work!

The Curtis Center is hosting an opening reception on Saturday, April 6th from 6 to 8 pm, and if you’re in the greater Denver area, I do hope you can come by. We can discuss whether the capture of an image is the beginning or end of the photographic process…
