Midway Across Missouri

My Ghost Notes series of images are still housed with my long time partner the Sager Braudis Gallery in Columbia, MO. I couldn’t think of a more appropriate place than right in the middle of the state to debut some of the new images in the series, ones that were added to the collection as I paddled my kayak across Missouri.  If you missed it, Kyle and I and our friends Julie and Megan got on the Missouri River right at downtown Kansas City on September 30 2017, and proceeded to paddle a winding 384 miles over the next 15 days, eventually taking out at the Arch in St Louis (after making the turn onto the Mississippi River). It was quite the adventure!

Near the midpoint of our paddle and not too far from Columbia, there was a morning when the fog was too heavy to safely get on the river, so I spent my unexpected respite photographing the quiet morning instead…

So, if you are making your way across Missouri this holiday season be sure to stop in, my gallerist friends will be happy to show you the beauty of Mid- Missouri
