Guanajuato is full of surprises!
Last weekend within 200 yards of our house was a carnival, a marching band, a street car parade, and an Aztec ceremony of some sort in a church yard. For such a diminutive town Guanajuato can be quite a busy place! Luckily, the way the sound carries in this bowl of a city alerts you to such activities (sometimes earlier in the morning than you would like), and with a short hike down the stairs the wonder can be yours.
